Exploring Coastal Delights in Carmel and Monterey

Come along on a laid-back journey along the stunning coastline of Carmel and Monterey, where every stop offers a taste of coastal charm.

Our weekend getaway kicked off in Pescadero, a quaint town known for its hidden treasures. We started with a visit to Arcangeli Grocery Co, famous for its delicious artichoke bread, a local favorite that didn't disappoint.

Our next stop was Harley Farms Goat Dairy, where we couldn't resist petting the adorable baby goats and sampling some fresh goat cheese.

After a satisfying lunch at Loma Mar Store, we headed to Pigeon Point Light Station, where we admired the scenic views of the Pacific Ocean. The light house was currently being renovated and was fenced off, but we are looking forward to returning to check out the finished product.

We settled into the cozy ambiance of Mission Ranch Hotel, owned by Clint Eastwood, and enjoyed a relaxing evening before dinner at the Sardine Factory in Monterey.

The following day, we explored Point Lobos State Reserve, soaking in the natural beauty of the coastal landscape. But first, we had to start the day off the right way with a nice hearty breakfast at our hotel.

Back at our hotel, we savored happy hour and toasted to our coastal adventures before going to dinner at Stokes Adobe in Monterey.

The next morning, we had the pleasure of getting Brunch at “From Scratch” which was featured in Guy Fieri’s “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives” and later visited Calla Lily Valley to admire the blooming flowers before strolling through downtown Carmel.

Our weekend culminated in a delightful dinner at La Bicyclette, where we savored farm-fresh cuisine in a charming setting.

Our last day consisted of taking our time along the 17-Mile Drive and grabbing lunch at a fantastic restaurant within The Lodge called “Bench”.

We hope you enjoyed this post and got inspired to plan your next adventure as we reminisce about our leisurely weekend getaway, filled with good food, scenic views, and cherished memories along the Central California coast. Cheers!
